One day we will all go to Locus Amoenus, though I became someone you do not know anymore in my loneliness.

There was a time where the harshness of the world did not reach them at the academy. Though it was fleeting, thier time as boys came to an end with the call to service for the empire.
His service came with a posting to the medical of the IInd, a return home to a waiting marriage from a family much like his own, but with a worse reputation. Vitale was his name.
They were married in duty for twenty years. The chaos and fires of rebellion would take his husband and many of his friends. Ultimately he left the ash scarred meadows for a second time to the harshness of Garlemald's endless snows.
Despite the secrets of his return, he did reconnect with both the men he loved from the time in the academy, and it shone a happier light into his life. He worked diligently with the IIIrd before transferring from the military to the private sector and working on his proficiencies in warding.

Cracked ancient wood of a Scythe, and the smell of his own blood. They were his earliest memories of home. Locus Amoenus, Corvos.
The hardened disapproving stare as a doll threw him from the arena more times than he could remember. Lessons that were a necessity of his ancestry in her family.
"Ioannidi, it is a heavy name to bear. A line that never fled, and grew strong by remaining. It is our burden and duty."
Her words would carve into his very soul, the day his magic turned from rumor to interest. From the sun to the never ending snows of Garlemald, he entered into the academy and it was there he met two men, who would become his loves though they studied vastly different fields than his own.

A moment of great happiness, that came crashing down with the news of the death of the Emperor. The fragile happiness shattered into the chaos of a civil war between the royal family and the appearance of a cursed tower.Vasilios and one of his love's had initially survived the chaos long enough to find a secure location to await for their third to break away from his legion and shortly after he did, than the sky turned red and the world tumbled into further chaos.
On a quiet day both his loves left to search for survivors. They did not return that evening, and than the next. The sickening, sinking feeling grew. Than they returned home.
The decision that only he could make with the survivors that he already guarded. His beloveds transformed beyond the men he knew. The smell of ceruleum burned his nose, and the night he spent burying them was the longest of his life. Since that night, the Vasilios he knew, disappeared replaced by someone who will only knows the darkness of the night.
The Bonds of Blood

Salvatroia het Ioannidi"The lineage we share Vasilios, is one of Hardship. Where lesser fled, we remained. We grew stronger in spite of what drove them away. Never forget that."The Matriarch, and his grandmother. She was his first mentor, a hard woman honed from a harder time. Her expectations were unforgiving, and her lessons stayed with him. They lead him to survive the worst times in journey.
The Ashes of a Life...
Deusdedit fae Astrucius (Deceased)"As a people have made great advances, but we have lost so much of our culture, how can we learn from our ancestors if we do not search for them."Scholar and Warrior, that is what comes into mind about his rival turned beloved. A man who kept his secrets to his chest but guarded the secrets of his loved ones with a similar ferocity.

Vitale rem Spathar (Deceased)"We are Dread personified, one way or another, you will learn to bind it to your soul, or you will die. We are the Swords of the empire, and it is time to act like it."A cruel man his late husband, from a prominant family in Garlemald, they moved to Locus Amoenous. During the rebellion the man died and his avatar has not been seen recently.

Serapis du Cerinedius (Deceased)"A quiet shadow, clad in velvet, blushed at touch and learned to smile. Under starlight, during dances on ice, the shadow became a man."An aspiring playwright, and actor. The first friend he made when he arrived in garlemald. They shared familiar struggles and pain that blossomed into a unique love.

A Garlean of Corvos
Locus Amoenus, the fabled homeland of the empire and a resistance that never faded. Ioannidi is a family that never left Corvos, and originally pure garlean. They had some status at least until a half elezen with aetherYou May...
- Have grown up with Vasilios
- Have witnessed Vasilios leaving Corvos to go attend an academy in Garlemald.
- Have interacted with the reluctant Medical officer Vasilios upon his brief return to Corvos
- Have heard rumors of the Ioannidi family's connection to the resistance.
A Relucant Medicus
The academy proved only handful of truths to Vasilios. He was gifted with warding, and he should not be trusted to heal someone aetherically. Yet he still served as a Medicus.
You May...
- Have attended the academy with Vasilios
- Vasilios served in both the 2nd legion for a signifgant amount of time and briefly in the 3rd Legion.
- Have interacted with the reluctant Medical officer Vasilios upon his brief return to Corvos
- Have heard rumors of the Ioannidi family's connection to the resistance.
In the silence, it is than the flames of justice are lite and the screams of revolution heard.
Due to the nature of Garlemald, I am open to exploring the possibilities of pre-established Relationships with Vasilios, from Mentorship, Sponsorship, friendship and rivalry. I do have some rarer hooks that are available for use upon request.
Snow Chrysanthemum
Everyone paid a price for surviving the havoc that Viator Galvus set about Garlemald and the territories. Vasilios paid his price in the happiness he once held dear. He is frequently when in Garlemald seen leaving Tertium with white chrysanthemums and a single gunblade that was designed for someone else. He frequently spends all night at these tombstones.
A Road untraveled
The Dome opening turned his world upside down. The chaos of the King's attack on Leylode Nine, and the radical shift of the Monarchy. It is still something he is processing. But the world outside the dome, is terrifying. Gowing up and being told nothing existed only to find out there was a whole world is intriguing. He wants to work up the courage to leave the dome and see the people and plants of the Source.
Dawntrail Spoilers Ahead!
Levin sickness
The consequence of their survival. Levinsickness has been always around Everkeep. Yet there has been no advancement in treating it or attempting to manage the symptoms of the ailment. It is an oversight that has bothered him long before his retirement. Why has Resolution done nothing to heal the children, when new souls were being born with it?
Regulators
Little outside of Resolution is shared with how the regulators work, but lately his regulator seems off. He isn't quite sure what has happened with it but his last visit to Resolution left him with no answers and a permanent retirement from the one career he enjoyed. What happens to regulators that break? Does the regulator do anything beyond saving their memories and storing souls?
Every sacrifice, every lonely road I chase the glimpses of the life I could have had.
Why COnvergence
It was the singular moment that altered everything about Everkeep, barely able to remember the day it happened. He does wonder why it was necessary and if Tural was chosen for a reason, or if Yyasulani and the sudden disruption was all a tragedy.
Feral Souls
It was a requirement to become a hunter, a feral soul. In theory even in retirement, his regulator is still equipped with the soul. Yet he has not felt it activate in some time, and than there were all those Arcadion fighters who used feral souls, they all peacefully retired right? A feral soul couldn't merge into spoken soul could it?
Fanon Ahead!

The Knowing Owl
Similar to the Skatene of the source, a mind-quickend cloudkin exisited in Alexandria; Nyctaene, once found in the libraries of Iolite's ancestral home. However as the Soul research developed and Arcadion shifted into Feral Soul use for entertainment, these familiars were absorbed into a surplus of feral souls. The arrival of the King of Resolve, Zoraal Ja saw these surplused souls repurposed to fit the military and the hunters to continue the supply of Feral Souls.
It was upon assignment to the Hunters that Iolite underwent the proceedure to introduce a feral soul into his regulator. Kruosyche, the nyctaene of ice that once guarded tomes of fantastical romance. The soul presented Iolite with the ability to infuse his arrows with ice, and a gaze that stilled his targets. However since his accident, his regulator does not boost his feral soul. He has noticed once in a while he is a little too cold and he creates a little bit of frost in his mouth.
The only life I have known, shattered in a single night.
Imperial Mandate

Please take a moment to go over the themes as they can serve as a potential trigger warning.
Vasilios, is a morally grey adult character. As such please expect adult themes, as they pertain to his character. For this reason, no one under the age of 20 should persue long term rp connections.
Vasilios lore heavily is based on lore revealed in Endwalker (6.0+) if you have not completed the expansion, to avoid potential spoilers, I do advise you not roleplay with Vasilios. Given the nature of Garlemald, there maybe fanon involved in his lore.
While I do follow the flow of roleplay, my preferred style is prose and multi paragraph. In regards to the lore, I heavily favor lore compliance. I find that the lore is quite bendable but not shatterproof.
IC actions never equate to OOC. That being said I am a big believer in open channels of communication through any suitable method at the time. Additionally, I, the author do not condone imperialism/expansionism, oppression and colonization of indigenous people. As such I will not be engaging in discourse regarding Garlemald, nor will I be engaging in any roleplayer that celebrates or upholds the values of Garlemald.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ and given my character is also LGBTQ+ I do not tolerate and racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, or any harmful stereotyping. This includes harmful depictions of indigenous cultures. Miss me with that Garlean Supremacy as well
Combat Yes, If Realistic/Dice
